Therapy for ADHD & Neurodivergence
Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is grounded in the belief that neurological differences are a natural and valuable aspect of human diversity.
In this therapeutic approach, the focus is on understanding and respecting the unique ways in which individuals experience the world based on their neurology.
The term neurodivergent means that people experience and interact with the world in many different ways.
By affirming such experiences, these differences are not viewed as pathological or as problems to be changed but rather as part of who you are. Neurodivergent-affirming care is a foundational principle in my practice. I strive to uphold the unique experiences and needs of everyone, particularly neurodivergent individuals, recognizing the diverse ways in which we all engage with the world.
As a fellow neurodivergent , I bring in the knowledge of lived experience, and my therapeutic approach honors and respects the autonomy, communication styles, and sensory preferences of each person I work with. Through collaborative efforts, I aim to create a safe and inclusive space where neurodivergent folks can explore their challenges, strengths, and identities without judgment. My goal is to provide support that acknowledges the inherent value and complexity of neurodivergent experiences, fostering growth, self-acceptance, and empowerment.

What therapy can look like for neurodivergent adults.
Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is grounded in the belief that neurological differences are a natural and valuable aspect of human diversity. In this therapeutic approach, the focus is on understanding and respecting the unique ways in which individuals experience the world based on their neurology. I work collaboratively with people to embrace their strengths and challenges, helping them navigate a world that may not always be designed with their neurodivergent needs in mind. Strategies such as sensory accommodations, flexible communication styles, and individualized goal-setting may be employed to create a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment.
In particular, I work with adults with ADHD, or adults who wonder if they have ADHD. I offer specialized therapy services for adults with ADHD. Through a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness skills training, and psychoeducation, my goal is to support clients in navigating the challenges associated with ADHD and to help them thrive in various areas of life.
